Step-by-step text description: Making Toast

1. Ensure toaster is on a hard, flat surface, close to an electricity outlet.
2. Plug toaster into outlet.
3. Switch outlet to ‘on’.
4. Insert bread into toaster.
5. Check current toaster setting. Is it right? [Yes: next step. No: change to correct setting]
6. Push button/lever to activate toaster.
7. Does it work? [Yes: next step. No: go back to step 2]
8. Do not leave toaster whilst cooking to ensure toast does not burn.
9. When toast pops up, check toast. Is it light brown? [Yes: go to step 13. No: next step]
10. Is the toast lighter than brown? [Yes: go back to step 5. No: next step]
11. Toast is burnt.
12. Remove the toast from toaster, dispose of and return to step 4.
13. Remove toast from toaster and place on plate.
14. Switch toaster off at outlet.
